Sierra Regional Ski for Light

While the group was small, everyone enjoyed SRSFL’s first water sports day held at Lake Natoma.

Sylvia wrote, “I am new to kayaking so I listened intently. “Feel the seat, that is where you will sit. Your feet will go down here….Now feel the paddle, these dots show where to place your hands.” Then the shove off into the American River just above the Hazel Damn. The water was calm and cool, and pleasant. I stroked, left, right, left, right, left, left, left, and left again. Ooh, going straight was not that easy. But boy was kayaking fun! moot,, tranquil waters, whispering gentle breezes.
My experience left me feeling better than an hour of massage, completely relaxed. Thank you Bruce Johnson for showing me this wonderful sport.

Our 2013 Three Day Event comes to a close.  What a great event!  Thank you everyone who helped make it possible, especially our wonderful guides and the great staff at Tahoe Donner Cross Country!  They made us feel like royalty!!!

On Sunday, March 3rd our own Marilyn Gerhard completed the Great Ski Race 1st and only person in females over 70 racing with guides Sharon Fong and Dave Huggins.  Way to go Marilyn!!  No excuses!

This weekend, March 9th-11th we will hold our 21st 3 Day Event at Tahoe Donner Cross Country.  The snow should be great!

Our February 9th Day Trip to Tahoe Donner was fantastic!  Great snow, great guides, enthusiastic skiers and a great staff at Tahoe Donner all came together to make it outstanding!

Thank you Tahoe Cross Country for hosting our January 26th Day Trip and helping us make a difference in the lives of the blind and visually impaired.

  As it looks now on the most recent post on Open Snow and other weather sites, this will be a very light storm with little or no precipitation on Saturday.  Remember this Day Trip is at Tahoe Cross Country in Tahoe City.  Guides please arrive by about 9:15 a.m.  If you have questions call Edie at 530 582-5362.
